The box is exactly as pictured, it dates back to 1951 and is made entirely of walnut burl with the playing cards and the silver handle stamped with relief enamels with the 4 white/red card symbols, inside there is a compartment dedicated to the fishes (3 from the Venice casino), two decks of mismatched vintage playing cards elegantly contained in two usable grey cards, the interior is entirely lined with the green playing mat.
The deck of cards dated 1951 contains 40 cards, the other 53.
The box is partially in need of restoration, but its beauty is identified precisely because it is not modern and will be able to give its refined beauty placed wherever there is a green table or in a display case as a splendid antique, now unobtainable!
