💠 Rarity – The Allure of Pinchbeck Material

Pinchbeck is a copper and zinc alloy invented in London in the 18th century by Christopher Pinchbeck.

With its golden, gold-like luster, it was widely used in the Victorian era for pocket chains, chatelaines, and travel jewelry: elegant, durable, and safer than gold in case of theft.

Today it is a rare and sought-after material, as the original techniques are no longer reproduced.

📖 A fragment of Victorian aristocracy: This chatelaine represents more than an accessory: it is a symbol of status, power and personal identity.

Every detail, from the engraved seal to the clasp, tells the story of an illustrious owner who carried with him not only the watch, but also the tangible sign of his lineage.

Today, its originality and integrity make it a precious testimony to an era in which goldsmith art and social life were inextricably intertwined.
