๐Ÿ“– An era of ink and genius: Among the most fascinating testimonies to the art of Italian writing, Stilus pens tell a story that began in Turin in 1917, thanks to the initiative of Emilio Pecco, founder of the company Pecco & C. Stilus was one of the very first Italian brands to produce fountain pens, anticipating even giants like Aurora (1919) and OMAS (1925). The first pens were made of black ebonite, later celluloid with Art Deco or Art Nouveau finishes. Stilus pens were appreciated for their balance between innovation and refinement. In the 1930s and 1940s, Stilus expanded production with parallel brands. The quality of the pens remained consistently high, but the post-World War II era and increased competition led the company into growing difficulties. The brand was eventually acquired by Pagliero in 1955, which continued production until the mid-1960s. Today, Stilus pens are highly sought-after by collectors for their rarity, the beauty of their materials, and their historical value. The safety models and celluloid versions are particularly prized.
