📖 An era of ink and genius: Founded in Bologna in 1925 by Armando Simoni, OMAS (Officina Meccanica Armando Simoni) embodied Italian craftsmanship excellence in the world of writing instruments. The Extra model, introduced in 1932, represents one of the company's masterpieces, distinguished by its faceted design and the use of fine materials such as celluloid. The "Extra" was inspired by the Art Deco trends of the time, with faceted workmanship that required artisanal precision. The filling system and screw cap closure were distinctive features of this model. The highly refined design of the faceted or smooth lines, with decorations such as the fretted band on the cap, is a testament to this.
