An authentic witness of the great tradition Montblanc the 334 ½ embodies the technical elegance and German precision of the second half of the 1930s: barrel in silky smooth translucent black resin, 14 carat gold nib with F grade, screw cap with spear clip and white star in bas-relief. A rare example, complete with its original cardboard case, with working piston mechanism. During the Second World War (1939–45), due to the scarcity of precious metals, some later examples fitted nibs with aesthetic simplifications including the absence of Montblanc engravings on the nib, this feature exactly placing the Montblanc fountain pen as a pre- or full-world war production.
