Tradition, engines and territorial pride: an emblem of history on the road

The Heimat competition, deeply linked to German culture, rewarded the knowledge of the territory every year, the conservation of local traditions and the civic spirit of the participants, often in combination with historical automotive gatherings organized by the ADAC (Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club).

In the badge, the central architectural scene represents a city door typical of the medieval towns of the palatinate, a region known for its castles, vineyards and historic villages. The grape branch symbolically framed the link with the wine culture and with the Deutsche Weinstraße, the beating heart of the regional identity.
