📖 An era of ink and genius: Waterman is one of the most iconic brands in the history of fountain pens, with a tradition that dates back to 1883. Founded in New York by Lewis Edson Waterman , the company has played a crucial role in the development and spread of the modern fountain pen. Legend has it that Lewis Waterman, at the time insurer, lost an important contract due to a pen that stubborn the document, thinking that previously it was written with the feather and inkish pen. Determined to solve the problem, in 1884 he patented a capillarity feeding system that guaranteed a constant ink flow, avoiding losses and interruptions during writing. This system, known as "multi-channel power supply", represented a turning point in the sector and was the basis of the company's initial success. In 1888, the company took the name of Le Waterman Company . The brilliant Lewis Edson Waterman of whom I HAVE a profound admiration, among the following innovations they nod: in 1904 he invented and introduced the clip in his production to fix the pen to the pocket. In 1907 he launched the famous "Safety Pen" pen, a loss-proof retractable pen. In 1913 he implemented the lever charging system, which remained a standard for decades, this determines his activity as a great genius of unparalleled ability, a revolutionary and tenacious man who changed the history of the fountain pen, whose inheritance still arrives today among our hands by challenging a fountain pen!
