Ancient thoracic aspirator Muster Schutz - late '800 - Complete in original box
A rare and fascinating vintage medical tool: Muster Schutz chest aspirator, dating back to high probability between 1880 early 1900, complete with all its original accessories, preserved in its noble wooden box with burgundy velvet interior.
Used in the second half of the nineteenth century for pleural drainage practices and pneumothorax, it represents an authentic testimony of the history of respiratory and surgical medicine.
The "Muster Schutz" engraving (registered patent) indicates the protection of the model in the Germanophona area, most likely produced in Germany or Austria from a workshop specialized in medical instrumentation.
The set includes:
• Metallic syringe with turned lateral handles
• Threaded metal fittings
• Original gaskets
• Complete series of cannulas and metal probes for drainage
• Caucciù pipes of the time
• Wooden box with metal closure and velvety interiors
